A charming and charismatic home, the specifications for this renovation were of artisan standards.
A bespoke modern extension to capture the warmth and sunlight was created, including a newly built sunny deck, sprawling kitchen and split-level expanded living area with an artful fade into the era of the original home. Kauri Pine has become extremely scarce in residential dwellings, and the Yakka Build team took meticulous care in retaining the existing rare timber in the front rooms of the home.

Kate and Dave were looking to create a space that really catered to their family, including allowing room to move with 3 growing boys in the home. With an idea in mind and a budget to work with, it was through a family friend that they first met the Yakka Build team.
